Dinner with winemakers from the Escudero family and Pago del Vicario.
Join us on June 12 for a spectacular dinner with the wine makers from the Escudero family and Pago del Vicario in Rioja, Spain.
We'll start the dinner with a rare Petit Verdot Rosé from Pago del Vicario paired with tuna tartare. We'll follow with Rioja wines from the Escudero family, including their top-rated Gran Reserva, paired with steak, lamb or vegetarian main course and dessert. Diego Barco of Pago del Vicario and Miguel Escudero will introduce and talk about their wines and the region while we enjoy great food from the Pierre Loti kitchen.
Pago del Vicario distinguishes itself by its estate-bottled wines made by a female winemaker. Its wines, original and expressive, are made from both Spanish and French grape varietals. The prize-winning Petit Verdot Rosé is perhaps the only rosé in the world made exclusively from the Petit Verdot grape, typically a blending grape in some Bordeaux wines.
The Escudero family started making wine in 1852. Now in its 4th generation, this family-owned winery was one of the pioneers of the Rioja region and produces 100% organic wines. Dinner will be served with their Serna Imperial Joven, Serna Imperial Crianza and the Serna Imperial Gran Reserva.
Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy great Rioja wines as they should be enjoyed - with great food!
